Germany (Tubingen)

2/25/16

Beautiful scenery of Tubingen, Germany. Thanks Ute!

USA (Reno, NV)

10/6/15

Revisited my old college town after a few years. I drove past my old apartment, visited a good friend, and ate some great food at Asian Paradise (one of, if not the best, Asian restaurants I've ever been to) and Golden Flower Vietnamese (my very first Reno restaurant I ate at 15 years ago). Lake Tahoe is another place worth checking out.

Picked this up at a local Wal-Mart of all places. They actually had a pretty nice selection. Apparently it's a fictional animal, though it would be cool (and weird) to actually see one. The author of the postcard really seems to believe it's real through description, or he/she is just a really good prankster. Technically there is a disease called the Shope papilloma virus that can cause rabbits to grow horns.

I love this place, especially Scottsdale. Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, Arizona State University, and Talking Stick Resort/Casino were among the few attractions I visited on my road trip. The 300 mile drive from Las Vegas goes by pretty quick with the amazing scenery along the way (and lax law enforcement). Rocks, cactus, and desert have never looked so beautiful. I found the local residents to be super friendly. The food is excellent. The streets are very modern and clean. I highly recommend taking a nice drive during sunset with the sunroof open or windows down.

Nice artistic stamp. Thanks Muhamad!

Russia (Bryansk Oblast)

A gorgeous view of St. Petersburg, Russia. It would be great to visit someday. I love the beautiful Russian language/accent (2nd favorite) and the Cyrillic script just looks awesome.

Both the postcard and envelope are the coolest I've received to date. Bol'shoye spasibo Yulya!

Jordan (Jerash)

One of my good friends took an extensive tour of Jordan and its beautiful surrounding areas. I would love to visit many of the Biblical landmarks someday. Thanks Cindy!

Canada (Niagara Falls)

A breathtaking view of Niagara Falls in Canada. I have yet to drive even to British Columbia but would love to sometime this year. I'm looking forward to meeting the friendly locals and eating some amazing food. Thanks Cindy!

I received this beautiful postcard of Manzanita Lake from the University of Nevada, Reno Admissions Office during my high school senior year (inviting me to attend their school). This lake is one of the many great features of the beautiful campus. I had no problem making my decision to sign up after taking the campus tour.

Reno is known as "The Biggest Little City in the World." It's a college town with a few casinos as well as some friendly folks. I'm proud to have lived there for four amazing years. Thanks for the memories UNR!
